Children in Wales and Swansea University are working together on a collaborative project to develop a baby pledge. The baby pledge will set out what babies should expect from those around them. It will be used to support the voice of the baby in a range of settings and environments and enable services and communities to meet the specific needs of babies.
We want the pledge to be used as a tool for everyone to understand that babies have their own minds are capable communicators and have a voice that must be listened to. This voice is heard and seen in the noises and movements they make, their response to the environment and in their interactions with the people who are with them.
To help us shape what the baby pledge looks like, we are asking professionals working with families and babies under the age of 2 to take part in a short consultation exercise.
You will be asked 3 questions to find out what babies need, and we would like you to answer from a baby's perspective (under 2 years old)
The consultation exercise should take no longer than 5 -10 minutes. Open till 17th January 2025.

Thank you, we appreciate you taking the time to complete these consultation questions. Your insight and input will help shape the Wales wide Baby Pledge.
