21 March 2022 was a momentous occasion in Wales, where children’s rights were further protected and all physical punishment became illegal.
Here, at Children in Wales, we are working on a project to make sure that children and young people of all ages hear about these changes, in a way which is appropriate and sensitive to their needs.
We are working with children and young people themselves, through young advisory groups, but we would also like to hear from professionals who work them about how we can make sure we get this right.
We have created a short survey for professionals who work in the children and young people sector, which you can find here https://forms.office.com/r/j30JYQ5yt7
We would be very grateful if you could complete this survey so we can better understand your needs and ideas as professionals, in sharing information on ending physical punishment with children and young people in Wales.
