In celebration of National Parenting Week, our Autumn Magazine is officially live, featuring inspiring stories from some of our members under the theme ‘Empowering Parents and Caregivers: Bridging the Gaps in Family Support.’

We aim to emphasise the importance of supporting parents and carers in meeting children's needs, both in the crucial first 1,000 days and throughout childhood. Our members are doing incredible work in the parenting space, and we want to showcase the best of their efforts

In this issue, our Policy Director and Deputy CEO, Sean O’Neil, opens the magazine by delving into the overall theme of the articles and the significance of National Parenting Week.

Fatiha Ali, Development Officer at Children in Wales, also explores the recent work done by Parents Connect Wales and how they are helping parents and carers engage with Welsh Government, ensuring they elevate their voices to be heard by important decision makers.

Also included is an insightful article written by the Minister for Children and Social Care, Dawn Bowden MS, titled: “How parents should be supported to meet the needs of children throughout their childhood.”

We wanted to thank all contributors and our members for working to ensure that parents and carers across Wales are supported and listened to.
