Stakeholder Engagement Project – Preventing and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse in Wales
We want your views on the Implementation of the Child Sexual Abuse Action Plan 2019
The Welsh Government is undertaking a review of the implementation and the progress made by Regional Safeguarding Boards, and key partner agencies from the statutory, third, and private sectors to implement the Child Sexual Abuse Action Plan for Wales.
Children in Wales has been asked to carry out engagement activities with key agencies who have been working to make changes under the plan, and we want to find out your views about what has happened as a result of the plan, and the outcomes of these initiatives.
Your views will be compiled into a report to the Welsh Government, with recommendations as to what should be included in the new plan to take this work forward.
We want to hear from you about:
*What kind of engagement would work best for you, including options for focus groups, questionnaires and individual interviews?
*What has changed in your areas of work since the plan was published?
*What progress has been made to increase awareness, protection and support for children and young people being sexually abused in Wales?
*What trends are you seeing?
*What are the survivors of child sexual abuse telling you?
*What recommendations do you suggest the report should make to Government?
This is a real opportunity to influence the creation of a new plan which will build on existing work that has been achieved, and will take on board your knowledge of initiatives that have developed outside of the plan.
If you are unable to attend this event, but wish to get involved in engagement events taking place in January and February 2023, please email louise.oneill@childreninwales.org.uk to indicate what form of engagement you would prefer.
