A message from the Chair of Children in Wales:
Following a rigorous selection process, I'm delighted to introduce Owen Evans as the new Chief Executive for Children in Wales. Owen will commence in post after Easter and we look forward to his leadership as we move to the next phase of Children in Wales. A fluent Welsh speaker, Owen comes to us from his previous post as the Wales Director at a large education charity, and brings significant policy, programme delivery and partnership-working experience to Children in Wales. He is also a Trustee at one of the UK's largest fostering charities and sits on the Wales Advisory Committee of the British Council. We are very much looking forward to working with Owen and are sure that you will join us in welcoming him to Children in Wales.
Dave Williams, Chair, Trustee Board, Children in Wales
Owen said "I'm delighted and humbled to have been appointed to this role. I look forward to working alongside our members, staff, and children and young people from across Wales to drive forward the important work of the children's rights agenda"
