Young Wales Festival
Saturday, 19 November 2022
St Fagan’s National Museum of History, Cardiff
Children in Wales is excited to invite all children and young people from across Wales to our Young Wales Festival on Saturday, 19 November 2022. We will spend the day celebrating World Children’s Day at St Fagan’s National Museum of History, from 9.30am to 3pm, focusing on the importance of amplifying the voices of children and young people on issues that matter to them.
The team at Young Wales have carefully curated a day packed full of exciting and interactive workshops, discussions and live entertainment, especially for the young people of Wales to enjoy and get involved with.
In the Atrium, we will be launching our Children’s Rights exhibition, focused upon the theme ‘What Do Children’s Rights in Wales Mean to You?’ A team of Young Wales volunteers have gathered and compiled pieces of work from young people aged 11-25 into a fantastic exhibition, which we cannot wait to share with you all.
Our volunteers at Young Wales will also be facilitating a Round Table discussion. With questions developed by members of our own Young Wales Special Interest Groups, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the new Children’s Commissioner for Wales and several other Welsh decision makers on issues prominent to young people in Wales today.
We will be hosting an array of exhibition stands from partner organisations, members of Children in Wales and other prominent Welsh organisations, focusing upon key issues such as child wellbeing, equalities and period dignity, in addition to live music, entertainment and special guests throughout the day.
With even more amazing organisations and activities to be announced in the lead-up to the event, we hope you will join us in our celebrations.
