Wellbeing, Pressure and Stress in the Workplace

One-day course This workshop aims to equip participants with a thorough and detailed understanding of wellbeing and stress in the workplace. Attendees will have the chance to assess their current levels of wellbeing and stress. Through practical exercises, participants will create their own “toolbox” of strategies and techniques to sustain their wellbeing at work. In addition to enhancing their ability to monitor their own wellbeing and stress, participants will learn to recognise signs in others that may indicate unhealthy levels of wellbeing or stress. The objective is to comprehend the nature of stress and to understand resilience, including its depletion, development, and maintenance. By the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to define stress, understand the stress reactivity cycle, identify stressors and their effects on individual health and wellbeing, and recognise the impact of stress in the workplace. They will also learn to assess the primary sources of stress in their lives and explore ways to mitigate these stressors. Furthermore, participants will gain insights into resilience, its role in managing stress, and methods for its development. They will experience effective techniques for responding to stress and enhancing resilience, as well as identify strategies for fostering greater resilience both individually and within teams. Participants will also create a personalised stress management plan. This workshop is suitable for anyone seeking to manage workplace pressures more effectively, regardless of their current stress levels.
